One-Day Makeup Artistry | Practical Course
This accredited one-day practical training day is designed to give you hands-on experience in how to Create professional, makeup looks suitable for a wide range of clients. Working closely with you SLS will Educate you in a personalised one-to-one setting, you will learn the essential techniques that underpin all makeup artistry work, building the confidence and Elevate the skills needed to offer commercial makeup services.
Throughout the day you will complete 2 full makeup applications from skin prep to finish, while receiving continuous feedback, correction and support. Although this is a non-specialist course (not specifically bridal, photographic, or creative makeup), the skills you gain form a strong foundation for all future professional development.
Your practical day typically includes:

How to conduct a professional consultation, assess client concerns, and understand desired outcomes

Creating a smooth, hydrated base tailored to different skin conditions

3. Base Application: Foundation, Concealer & Colour Correction
Identifying undertones and selecting appropriate foundation shades
Methods for light, medium and buildable coverage suitable for everyday wear
Natural concealing and brightening to maintain skin realism
4. Facial Architecture, Highlighting & Contouring
Analysing face shape and bone structure to enhance natural beauty
Soft sculpting techniques using creams or powders
Placing highlight and shadow for balanced, flattering definition
Creating subtle dimension that photographs well without appearing heavy in person
5. Brows, Eyes & Lash Techniques
Mapping and shaping brows to complement facial proportions
Eyeshadow application, blending, and colour placement
Simple liner techniques and mascara/lash application for a polished finish
6. Blush & Lip Application
Choosing blush colours to brighten and balance the complexion
