This week I taught...
This week I welcomed a new student for the first session of her nail training journey.
We started right at the beginning, focusing on the fundamentals. Nail anatomy, product knowledge, health and safety, preparation and the core techniques that every great nail technician needs before moving on to more advanced services.
It is easy to look at beautiful finished sets on social media and forget that every skilled technician started exactly here. Learning the basics, asking questions, making mistakes and gradually building confidence.
One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is seeing that progression. Watching someone become more comfortable with each technique and begin to understand not just how to do something, but why it is done that way.
This was just the first step.
Over the next two training sessions we'll be building on these foundations, introducing builder gel application and e-file techniques as confidence and skills continue to grow. By breaking the course down into manageable stages, students have the time to practise, absorb the information and develop good habits from the very beginning.
Holiday Nails – It's About Planning, Not Strong foundations create confident technicians, and I am really looking forward to seeing how much progress she makes over the coming weeks.
