When it comes to beauty, less really can be more

After 15 years in the beauty industry, I’ve realised that the results I’m most drawn to are often the ones that look the most effortless.

For me, beauty has become less about transformation and more about enhancing what’s already there. Healthy, polished and considered, but still completely you.

Nails

I’ve always been drawn to simple, beautifully executed nails. Sheer, soft colours are my personal favourite. They’re flattering, timeless and elegant, and work beautifully for every occasion.

They also wear incredibly well. As the natural nail grows, regrowth is far less noticeable, helping your manicure continue to look polished between appointments.

While nail art has dominated for some time, I feel we’re beginning to see a return to more understated nails, where the focus is on beautiful shape, immaculate cuticle work and a flawless finish.

This look can be achieved with either soft or hard gel, with the choice depending on your natural nails, lifestyle and what we want the finished manicure to achieve

Brows

My approach to brows is much the same. I want to enhance your natural brows rather than create something that doesn’t quite feel like you.

It’s also why I choose not to use makeup to carve out the brows at the end of a treatment. While concealer and pencil can create an incredibly crisp finish for a photograph, I want my clients to have realistic expectations and see exactly how their brows genuinely look when they leave my studio.

No makeup creating the illusion of the perfect finish. Just beautiful brows — and the genuine result of the treatment itself.

Lashes

My approach to Korean Lash Lifting feels like a natural extension of this same philosophy.

A Korean Lash Lift can still create a beautiful, dramatic result and really open up the eyes, but what I particularly love is the focus on achieving that lift while also respecting the health and condition of the natural lashes.

The system I use is cysteamine-based, giving me the flexibility to create anything from a soft, subtle enhancement to a more dramatic lift, depending on the lashes in front of me and the result my client would like to achieve.

For me, it’s the best of both worlds: beautifully lifted lashes, without losing sight of the health and condition of the natural lash itself.

Makeup

My approach to makeup has evolved over the years too. I’m much more interested in layering softer products intentionally, exactly where they’re needed, rather than building coverage across the whole face when it may only be needed in certain areas.

We’re also so much more invested in skincare now, and I believe makeup should allow beautifully cared-for skin to still look like skin.

For me, it’s about considered placement, the right textures and enhancing someone’s features rather than masking or completely changing them.

Beautiful makeup doesn’t have to feel heavy to make an impact.

Less, but better

I think that sums up where I am with beauty after 15 years.

Beautiful nails that don’t need nail art to make an impact. Brows that still look like brows. Your own lashes, just beautifully lifted. Makeup that enhances rather than hides.

It’s not really about doing less. It’s about making what we do do count.

And I think there’s something incredibly timeless about that.
