MY AUTUMN BEAUTY ESSENTIALS
As we move into autumn, there are always a few little changes I make to my beauty routine.
Colder temperatures outside and central heating inside can leave everything feeling that little bit drier, so for me this time of year is all about adding hydration, nourishment and a little extra care.
Nothing complicated and no complete routine overhaul. Just a few products I genuinely love and will be reaching for more over the coming months.
Here are my autumn beauty essentials...
1 RHODE
Barrier Butter Intensive Moisture Balm
This has become one of my favourite products for deep hydration. I love using it on my face overnight when my skin needs that little bit extra.
It’s especially important if, like me, you use tretinoin. My skin can sometimes feel drier afterwards, so I love applying Barrier Butter as the final step in my evening routine to really lock in moisture and leave my skin feeling hydrated and comfortable overnight.
I also love using it on the body. If you fake tan, keeping your skin really well hydrated helps your tan look fresher and more even for longer, so this is definitely one I’ll be reaching for more as the temperature drops.
2 COSMETIC CONSULT
Miracle Cryo Eye Masks
Our eye area can become particularly dehydrated during the colder months, especially with the combination of cold weather outside and heating indoors.
These are such a lovely intensive treatment when the eye area needs a boost. I keep mine chilled and use them when my eyes are looking tired, puffy or simply need some extra hydration.
Leave them on while you get on with your morning and, quite importantly, they’re chic enough that I’d happily wear them out of the house!
3 NOUVEAU LASHES
Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum
My approach to Korean Lash Lifting feels like a natural extension of this same philosophy.
A Korean Lash Lift can still create a beautiful, dramatic result and really open up the eyes, but what I particularly love is the focus on achieving that lift while also respecting the health and condition of the natural lashes.
The system I use is cysteamine-based, giving me the flexibility to create anything from a soft, subtle enhancement to a more dramatic lift, depending on the lashes in front of me and the result my client would like to achieve.
For me, it’s the best of both worlds: beautifully lifted lashes, without losing sight of the health and condition of the natural lash itself.
4 L’OCCITANE
Karité Shea Hand Cream
Another area that really starts to feel the change in season is our hands and cuticles.
Keeping them moisturised becomes even more important if you’re having regular structured manicures. A good hand cream helps keep the skin and cuticles hydrated and supports the overall condition and appearance of your manicure.
This one is rich and nourishing and exactly the sort of product I want beside me throughout autumn and winter.
SLS TIP:
Keep your cuticle oil close by too. Regular hand cream and daily cuticle oil are two of the simplest things you can do at home to look after your manicure between appointments.
5 LANOLIPS
101 Ointment Fruities – Watermelon
And finally, no autumn beauty edit would be complete without something for the lips.
I love this as an intensive treatment. Apply a generous layer before bed and let it work overnight to help keep lips soft and hydrated. Or wear it during the day like I do, paired with a lip liner for a really simple, polished everyday lip.
As the weather gets colder and lips naturally start to feel a little drier, this is one of those products that’s so easy to keep close by and reapply whenever you need it.
A LITTLE SEASONAL RESET
For me, autumn beauty isn’t about suddenly changing everything you use.
It’s simply about recognising that our skin, lips, lashes, brows, hands and nails might need a little more nourishment as the seasons change and making a few small adjustments to look after them.
My autumn non-negotiables:
• SPF every morning
• richer hydration at night
• lash & brow serum
• hand cream + cuticle oil
• lip balm always nearby.
Sometimes the smallest additions to your routine make the biggest difference.
I’d love to know what you can’t live without as we head into autumn.
